This is Alan Rickman, not necessarily Snape, but I had to show you guys. What I don't understand is why I never knew about this until now. It just came out today, but I'd figure that we'd get word that Alan Rickman would be narrating a new movie. And you know what else? This seems similar to Snape and Lily. There's a black-haired boy, a red-haired girl, and the boy gets heartbroken. It says it's a story of love, betrayal, monsters, and magic. Yep, it's pretty much the same. At first, I actually thought that this was going to be an animated full-length movie of the Prince's Tale. That would have been freaking awesome.

Weekly Snape-ly Event #22

This isn't really an event, but it's news. Sort of.

After Deathly Hallows Part 2, I think we can all agree that Alan Rickman deserves an Oscar for his perfect portrayal as Snape. He deserves a million Oscars. If you use Tumblr- actually, if you use the internet at all, then you should know that this is something everyone is saying. Posts on Tumblr are constantly being reblogged, Facebook pages are being made, etc.

And in retrospect, I can't believe he hasn't won an Oscar yet. He displays his talent in everything he does... And he does a lot of things.

For one, his acting skills are flawless. He doesn't just know how to play a 'bad guy' or 'good guy'... he plays people. People are a complex mix of good and bad, and he knows that.

He can also play the cello, piano, and I'm pretty sure some other instruments too.

He can do multiple accents and voices. If you've seen Closet Land (which, by the way, I can't believe he didn't get an award for), then you'll have seen that he can change his voice very quickly. He had a German accent in Die Hard (and briefly an American one), an Irish accent in Michael Collins, a southern accent in Judas Kiss, a Russian accent in Rasputin, an American one in Dark Harbor, and variations of British accents in other movies.

He can dance. Alan danced in The Search For John Gissing and in Rasputin. Oh- and he can sing, too.

What can't Alan do? He deserves every single award in existence.

Snape Picture of the Week #22 **SPOILERS**

I just watched DH2 today... And I can honestly say that my heart broke into a million pieces. It can never be repaired magically or otherwise, and I will be depressed FOREVER.

Okay, I won't necessarily be depressed. But Snape's death and the Prince's Tale left me sobbing so hard. I'm glad they added the bit with him cradling her and crying... I probably cried the hardest at that. But I had already lost it when Voldemort said, "Nagini, kill."

Alan Rickman did BEAUTIFULLY. Amazingly. He was... extraordinary. I can't even fathom how perfect he was. Every slight expression, every movement of his eyes, everything... That man can portray emotions so perfectly, and he... he is Snape. No one else can ever be Snape. He deserves all the awards. He is the greatest actor who ever lived.

And Severus Snape is the bravest man who ever lived.

Snape Theory of the Week #1

Since I've reached the 7-week interval, it's time to change what I do for Saturdays. The title says it all, every Saturday, I will post a debatable topic having to do with Snape and talk about it.

Here's this week's:

Did Snape die a virgin?

One would think so, since Lily stopped being friends at the end of their fifth year, and he loved her so much that he would never have relations with another woman. There are several arguments against this, and they fall in two categories: He had sex with Lily at some point, and He had sex with another woman.

Now, you can't just assume that all children at Hogwarts are good little kids. I would bet that a good amount of fifth years have already had sex, whether it was in a broom closet or in their dorm or somewhere else. And I bet Lily had feelings for Severus, but she was just stubborn. They could have been having a nice time hanging out in a clearing by the lake that only they knew about one night, and suddenly Lily gets the courage to kiss him, and gradually clothes come off... and, well, you know. Now that I think about it, that would make a good fanfic. But anyway, they might have done it just that once, or possibly more times and they only pretended to be just friends. Then, when Severus called her a Mudblood, she could have thought he never liked her that way, but was just using her for sex. And if that didn't happen, it could have happened after fifth year. I mean, we don't know exactly what happened their sixth and seventh year. We can't say for sure that they never spoke again... Who knows, Lily could have had sex with him out of pity. Or maybe she cheated on James with him.

As for other women, I don't think he'd have sex with anyone else during his school years. But maybe Voldemort apologized after killing Lily, and Snape was all, "There's other women, my Lord, worthier women." And then Voldemort could have wanted to be helpful, so he arranged for a woman to meet with him. And he's not going to deny the Dark Lord, since he's not the kind of guy you want to make angry, so he might have had sex with that woman. If that didn't happen, then just think about it, guys. Even though he was so deeply in love with Lily, he would have sexual urges. Everyone does. If he never went out and got with a prostitute from Hogsmeade or anything, then he'd have been a very sexually depraved man. Although, I think he'd have put up with that, since he didn't want to betray Lily. I'm just stating the arguments that many people would put forward.

Personally, I think he made love to Lily at some point. I'd hate to believe that he died a virgin.

Fanfiction Friday #22

For the first time in a while (actually, I'm not sure if I have ever done this on here), I have a story that's not a Romance... It's Family/Drama. It's called Northern Comfort, and basically provides background on Snape. But it's really interesting background... It's like we're getting into Snape's mind and we get to understand why he is the way he is.

It's only three chapters, but they're relatively long chapters. I love this fic because it makes so much sense, and you can tell that the author really put a lot of thought into it. Severus definitely didn't deserve the childhood he had, and it just makes me a little sad...

There's nothing particularly inappropriate in it, so it's only rated T. I suggest you read and review it, because it currently has only one review, even though it deserves more.

  "For him?" shouted Snape. "Expecto Patronum!"

Since Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out in theatres tonight at midnight (in the U.S., at least), I thought this would be the best quote for today.

Just typing it out makes me want to cry... Oh God, I'm going to break down in the theatre when I see it. The first time I read it, I just wanted to die. The word 'Always' has become so iconic... I tear up everytime I hear it used even in a casual conversation, and then people ask me what's wrong. I can't answer because they wouldn't understand.

And this is where a lot of people will refer to when they say they don't like Snape even though they've read all the books. They say that Snape never really changed, because he never cared about Harry. But those people are stupid, because that's what makes him so amazing. He risked his life to protect a boy that he hated because he just loved Lily that much. And though there's a lot of controversy, I don't think he ever cared about Harry. For all he cared, Harry could be maimed and seriously injured... just not dead. Because that would mean that he failed Lily.

It's remarkable that he could love her that much. You never see that kind of love anymore...

A Look Back at Severus Snape (*SPOILERS*)

Curse you, you traitorous fingers, for clicking on this... Well, it's too late now. I've watched it. I noticed that they included part of the 'Always' scene... *sniffle* And then after that, when Snape is surrounded by the light, I have no idea what that was. I'd guess it was just as he dies...
