Snape Picture of the Week #38

Yes, this is Snape dressed up as Ash Ketchum from Pokemon. XD

I drew it after having a thought about Snape being Ash for Halloween. And I spent several hours editing it. Although, I haven't decided which Pokemon he has in his hand...

Fake Snape #3

FormerMiM Snape

If you never participated in the original MiM roleplay on Facebook, then you will most likely not understand this (unless, of course, you've decided to participate because of some of my past posts.) But I consider this portrayal of Snape to be very important.

First off, here's the link to his page on Facebook, on which you can join the Roleplay: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Headmaster-Severus-Snape-Potions-Genius-Formerly-MiM/189196084466820

However, before you start interacting with him, there are several things you should know, which are the things I would generally talk about in a Fake Snape post.

This version of Snape is a post-war Snape that has died, but came back and returned to his normal life. The explanation for how this happened is in this fanfic: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7158995/1/After_the_Battle

Therefore, this technically takes place in the Canon Universe, though Snape is slightly OOC. He's married to Aurora Sinistra (the Astronomy teacher), and has plenty of Fangirls that fawn over him and bring him food and glomp him, and he actually likes it. I like that this Snape is nice to those who are nice to him, because otherwise the RP would be pretty boring.

He also often interacts with Declan (Sinistra's vampire bodyguard--sort of), his mother, Ludo Bagman, Voldemort, Tonks, and Jareth the Goblin King (Yes, from the Labyrinth). He and Scabior are mortal enemies, but I honestly forget where the animosity came from in the first place.

I didn't post a picture this time, because the picture will be on the page once you click the link. The only other things you should know before you join the RP (if you were even planning to) is that it'll be extremely annoying to everyone if you type like you're texting and don't use punctuation. If you don't know proper grammar, please just don't participate.

Fanfiction Friday #38

Earlier today, I realized that I had never posted a Snape/Lupin fic before. I've also never read one before, but I have been meaning to... The thing is, it was difficult to find a good one. The first couple I tried that weren't WIPs had Snape and Lupin and other people way too out of character, and I just couldn't read them.

So then I tried finding a fic that wasn't on FF.net, and I found a really smuttily (if that's even a word) awesome one-shot called Dinner Entanglement. If you're not at least 13, or if you can't handle sex, you probably won't want to read it. You also wouldn't want to read it if you don't like bondage or S&M sex.

You hold the locket in your hand; the S gleams eerily in the dim light, and, while Ron takes his grip of the Sword of Gryffindor, you say in Parsletongue, "Open."

It opens, and this link comes out: http://noiresensus.com/bookshelf/harrypotter/dinnerentanglement.html

Snape Quote of the Week #37

Harry made up his mind in a split second. Before Snape could take even one step towards him, he had raised his wand.
"Expelliarmus!" he yelled--except that his wasn't the only voice that shouted. There was a blast that made the door rattle on its hinges; Snape was lifted off his feet and slammed into the wall, then slid down it to the floor, a trickle of blood oozing from under his hair. He had been knocked out.
~Prisoner of Azkaban, Ch. 19 "The Servant of Lord Voldemort"

You just have to feel really sorry for Snape here... I know he was being unreasonable, but he had just found the man that had supposedly been the reason for Lily's death. Anyone in his place would have gone just as mad.

I posted the part before this quote at least 21 weeks ago, so I guess this is a continuation. This deserves its own post, because this always makes me really mad at Harry and really sorry for Snape whenever I read it.

Snape Video of the Week #37

Severus Snape - Love and Loss

This is probably the saddest effing video I have ever seen. This was made for Halloween, as this was the day that Snape lost everything he loved. This song is perfect for him, and the timing of all the clips is perfect. I cried.

Weekly Snape-ly Event #37

I couldn't find any real news about Snape or Alan Rickman, but that doesn't matter, because it's already set up for me--it's Halloween.

On this day, thirty years ago, Voldemort went to James and Lily Potter's house in Godric's Hollow with the intention to kill their son and thus eliminate the possibility of him being defeated. But, only a few weeks before, Severus Snape had begged Voldemort to spare Lily, and so the Dark Lord gave the woman a choice to step aside. She refused to, and willingly sacrificed herself for her son. The shield of love protected Harry and rebounded upon Lord Voldemort, rendering him almost nothing, less than the meanest ghost.

That night, Severus Snape lost the love of his life. He lost the will to live. But if it had not been for him, Lily would not have been given a second thought by Voldemort, and her sacrifice would not have been a willing one. And Harry would not have lived. There never would have been a Boy Who Lived, and Voldemort would have reigned forever.

The same night, ten years later, Severus did his best to find out what Quirrell was doing, and saw that he was trying to get the Sorcerer's Stone. He nearly had his leg ripped off in the process, and Harry was nearly killed by the troll that Quirrell had set lose.

The next year, the Chamber of Secrets was opened, thus beginning the series of stressful days of trying to protect the students of Hogwarts and yet, not being able to do a thing.

And the next year, the man that Snape loathed more than anything except James Potter--Sirius Black, broke into the castle and supposedly made an attempt on Potter's life, slashing up the Fat Lady's poster.

And the next, Harry's name came out of the Goblet of Fire. Severus knew at once that Potter's life was in danger, and that there was a traitor in their midst who had put the boy's name in. Once again, there was nothing he could do, though he knew that Voldemort must have something to do with it, for his Dark Mark had been twinging when it had not burned in years...

And all the rest were insignificant, but they were anniversaries of Lily's death all the same. If Severus were alive now, he'd be in an especially bitter and bad mood. He'd be mourning.

Snape Picture of the Week #37

I saw this on Tumblr and immediately started crying. This is just too damn sad, and I'm way too tired... Even though we can't see Snape's face in the last panel, his sadness is so beautifully conveyed by the rain, and his arm leaning on the window. It's so perfectly sad. If only he had told her...

Excuse me, I have to go bawl my eyes out again.
