But whether James really did take off Snape's pants, Harry never found out. A hand had closed tight over his upper arm, closed with a pincerlike grip. Wincing, Harry looked around to see who had hold of him, and saw, with a thrill of horror, a fully grown, adult-sized Snape standing right beside him, white with rage.
"Having fun?"
Harry felt himself rising into the air. The summer's day evaporated around him, he was floating upward through icy blackness, Snape's hand still tight upon his upper arm. Then, with a swooping feeling as though he had turned head over heels in midair, his feet hit the stone floor of Snape's dungeon, and he was standing again beside the Pensieve on Snape's desk in the shadowy, present-day Potions master's study.
"So," said Snape, gripping Harry's arm so tightly Harry's hand was starting to feel numb. "So... been enjoying yourself, Potter?"
"N-no..." said Harry, trying to free his arm.
It was scary: Snape's lips were shaking, his face was white, his teeth were bared.
"Amusing man, your father, wasn't he?" said Snape, shaking Harry so hard that his glasses slipped down his nose.
"I--didn't--"
Snape threw Harry from him with all his might. Harry fell hard on the dungeon floor.
"You will not tell anybody what you saw!" Snape bellowed.
"No," said Harry. getting to his feet as far from Snape as he could. "No, of course I w--"
"Get out, get out, I don't want to see you in this office ever again!"
~Order of the Phoenix, Ch. 28 "Snape's Worst Memory"
I can't even imagine how angry Snape is when he finds out that Harry has seen his worst memory. I mean, he never wanted Harry to know anything about him and Lily, and when he just looked at them, knowing Snape would have killed him for it... And once again, the movies downplayed his anger, just like they did at the end of HBP. However, Alan Rickman's face in that scene, when he grabs Harry by his robes and is all, "Get... out..." is just perfect. I feel so sorry for him.
And I love that Snape throws a jar at Harry after this. It really shows how even Snape can lose his cool at times, and made all of us realize just how angry he was.
Oh, and I just realized that Hogwarts is a place where it's okay to give students alcohol as well as physically abuse them. Awesome.

Snape Video of the Week #24
Butterbeer Experience- The Prince's Tale
So, this is definitely my favorite song by The Butterbeer Experience, and however cheesy this fan-made video is, I love it.
I think this song perfectly sums up the Prince's Tale- from both Lily and Severus's point of view. The first time I heard it, I broke down and cried. The next few times, I still cried. Eventually I got used to it, but I still get sad whenever I listen to it.
But this video doesn't have the entire song, and you HAVE to listen to the entire song. It's not on Youtube, but you can listen to it here, on Bandcamp: http://lenagabrielle.bandcamp.com/track/the-princes-tale
Oh, and Christian Caldera of Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls sings Severus's part. God, I love his voice.

Weekly Snape-ly Event #24
This is more of a Potter-ish event, but I know that Snape will have a big role in it. For those of you that participated in MiM, you'll probably already know this.
There is a new RP going on, sponsored by The Order of The Dark Lord. It's called Horcuxes and Hallows. It's too late to apply to be an Official, but you can always join in a bit late as an Unofficial. I wouldn't advise it, though, since you'll have missed a lot.
H&H is basically where everyone that died prior to or during the Final Battle has come back to life 22 years later. It's much more serious than MiM, and while it is for fun, there will be very little comic relief.
I'm an Official in it, and I already have several big scenes planned, one of them involving Snape. It's going to be epic.
You can check out the experience here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Horcruxes-Hallows-HH/118013438288077?ref=ts
I know that there are some people that don't necessarily like to participate in the Role-playing, but will just like to read the threads and see what's going on.

Snape Picture of the Week #24
I just can't get over how awesome this picture is. It's another one of those things where it's sexy, funny, and epic all at the same time.
There's been a lot of iPod Harry Potter things, and a fair few of them are Snape, but I think this is the best one that I've seen. I mean... just look at it! Even his silhouette is sexy. And since he looks sort of curvy, you know his robes are billowing. Billowing is always good.
And it's funny because of the position he's in... I can just imagine him waiting until Potions class was over, turning on his iPod, and just jamming out to some Three Day's Grace, playing air-guitar with his wand... and singing along to it.
Do I even have to explain why it's epic? Aside from everything else, it's very nicely done. It looks professional. I'd like to meet the person who created this.

Snape Theory of the Week #3
What is Snape's middle name?
This is something that people have been asking about for a while, and yet J.K. Rowling has never given us the answer. It is a simple question, and requires a one-word answer. Even so, there are elaborate arguments as to why one would guess one middle name rather than another.
A lot of people think it's Tobias, and I can see their reasoning. As creative and unique most of the names in the Potterverse are (most of which we had never even heard of prior to reading the series), the middle names tend to be named after that character's mother, father, uncle, grandfather, or someone else their parents knew. Harry James Potter. Draco Lucius Malfoy. Tom Marvolo Riddle. Ronald Bilius Weasley. Albus Severus Potter. James Sirius Potter. Lily Luna Potter. Teddy Remus Lupin. And I'd guess that Remus John Lupin's father's name was John, and that Hermione Jean Granger's mom's name was Jean.
So it would only make sense that Severus would be named partly after his father, since J.K. Rowling made everyone else too lazy to come up with their own name. Severus's mom, Eileen, must have really loved Tobias to stay with him even though he was abusive. I mean, she could use magic. If she didn't love him, then why didn't she just Imperius him or something? Besides, they were probably a happy couple before Severus was born, so Tobias wouldn't have minded naming his son 'Severus Tobias Snape.' And that does sort of have a ring to it, doesn't it?
The only argument I can find supporting that Tobias wasn't his middle name is that 'Eileen wouldn't have named her son after the Muggle husband she hated. And if Tobias had a say in naming his son, he wouldn't have wanted the wizard son he hated to have his name.' Well, I just proved that statement wrong in the previous paragraph. So that argument is invalid.
Basically, the only thing we have to go on his the possibility of him having his father's name for a middle name. Though it could very well be something entirely different, we have no evidence to support any names in particular unless J.K. Rolwing releases that information in Pottermore... I really hope she does. Or you could somehow try and talk to Severus and guess his middle name until he tells you.
Maybe it's 'Sexy'. Severus Sexy Snape... I like that.
It would be even better if he was Severus Freakin Snape.
OR if Eileen decided that his middle name should be 'Spy', so in the future when Voldemort and Dumbledore told him to do some spying and asked if he'd have any trouble, he'd be able to say, "Pfft. 'Spy' is my middle name... No really, it is. Take a look at my birth certificate." And of course you could also say the same about it being 'Dangerous' or 'Brave.'

Fanfiction Friday #24
I would have posted earlier today, but I'm very busy with my own fanfiction. I'm on the last chapter of Book 2, and I'm freaking excited.
Anyway, I have a Snape/Hermione fic today. I normally don't read Sevione (Snamione, Snanger Danger, whatever you call it) that much, but I really like this one. It's called Kiss From A Rose and is AU- Now, I normally don't like AUs, so that shows how good this one is for me to like it. It has nearly 2000 reviews and exactly 200 chapters (weird, isn't it?), so I'd say it's worth checking out.
The chapters are short, though, so you don't have to worry about it taking forever to read. And it's Rated T, so no heavy sexual stuff. *slightly disappointed*
I'm not going to give away too much, but the story summary is: Severus wanted money. Hermione wanted a name. What happens when a Snatcher most believed to be dead returns and threatens everything?
The Invisibility Cloak... the Elder Wand... and the Resurrection Stone. Together they make this link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6571673/1/Kiss_From_a_Rose

Snape Quote of the Week #23
"Vengeance is very sweet," Snape breathed at Black. "How I hoped I would be the one to catch you...."
"The joke's on you again, Severus," Black snarled. "As long as this boy brings his rat up to the castle"--he jerked his head at Ron--"I'll come quietly...."
"Up to the castle?" said Snape silkily. "I don't think we need to go that far. All I have to do is call the Dementors once we get out of the Willow. They'll be very pleased to see you, Black... pleased enough to give you a little kiss, I daresay...."
What little color there was in Black's face left it.
"You--you've got to hear me out," he croaked. "The rat--look at the rat--"
But there was a mad glint in Snape's eyes that Harry had never seen before. He seemed beyond reason.
"Come on, all of you," he said. He clicked his fingers, and the ends of the cords that bound Lupin flew to his hands. "I'll drag the werewolf. Perhaps the dementors will have a kiss for him too--"
Before he knew what he was doing, Harry had crossed the room in three strides and blocked the door.
"Get out of the way, Potter, you're in enough trouble already," snarled Snape. "If I hadn't been here to save your skin--"
"Professor Lupin could have killed me about a hundred times this year," Harry said. "I've been alone with him loads of times, having defense lessons against the dementors. If he was helping Black, why didn't he just finish me off then?"
"Don't ask me to fathom the way a werewolf's mind works," hissed Snape. "Get out of the way, Potter."
"YOU'RE PATHETIC!" Harry yelled. "JUST BECAUSE THEY MADE A FOOL OF YOU AT SCHOOL YOU WON'T EVEN LISTEN--"
"SILENCE! I WILL NOT BE SPOKEN TO LIKE THAT!" Snape shrieked, looking madder than ever. "Like father, like son, Potter! I have just saved your neck; you should be thanking me on bended knee! You would have been well served if he'd killed you! You'd have died like your father, too arrogant to think you might be mistaken in Black--now get out of the way, or I will make you. GET OUT OF THE WAY, POTTER!"
~Prisoner of Azkaban, Ch. 19 "The Servant of Lord Voldemort"
This part always gets me. I mean, I can't even imagine how Snape's feeling at this point... He must feel so justified and almost like a part of him that's died is coming back to life when he's this close to catching Sirius Black, since he thinks that Sirius is the one who gave Lily's location to Voldemort. By killing him, he would feel like he had really done something right.
And then when he's denied of that, it would be like losing everything all over again. He can't stand it, and is slowly losing his sanity. Poor Severus.
When he tells Harry that he ought to be thanking him, it seems that all Snape really wants is to be thanked for working so hard. I bet if Harry just thanked him for saving his life, he would hate him a lot less. Plus, I noticed that he said that James had been too arrogant to think he might be mistaken in Black, and that shows something as well--Snape hates Sirius much more than he hates James. Not only because he tortured him as a kid, but because he betrayed his friend (supposedly). As much as he hated James, I think Snape just wanted Lily to be happy.
