I suppose this isn't really news, but it is awesome, and it's the best I could do.
Anyway, the upcoming iPhone 4s has been advertising an app called Siri, which will be a voice assistant. Sort of like the voices on GPSes. IBT (International Business Times) released an article of the top 5 voices we'd like to have on Siri, and, you guessed it, Snape is on the list. Here's the link for the article: http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/236768/20111025/apple-siri-recognition-iphone-4s-darth-vader-gps-mary-poppins-severus-snape-jarvis.htm
Honestly, I'm surprised he's only number three. But the explanation made me laugh. Hard.

Snape Picture of the Week #36
I'm posting this picture simply for its epicness. This picture of Snape is just so BADASS, and there's really nothing more to say about it. Oh--and he's really buff in it, too. :3

Fake Snape #1
As you may have noticed, I've gotten through another seven weeks, and that means that I start something new for Saturdays. Well, I decided that I'm going to do 'fake Snapes,' in which I talk about versions of Snape besides the book and movie Snape. These Snapes could be from parodies, cosplays, etc.
This week, I'm doing AVPM/S Snape.
It's sort of the obvious choice, but whatever. For those of you that have been living under a rock, I'm referring to A Very Potter Musical (and Sequel), and if you haven't seen it, then none of this will make sense to you. AVPM is probably one of the biggest parts of the HP fandom, so you MUST watch it. Here's Act 1, Part 1 in case you haven't: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmwM_AKeMCk
Anyway, down to business.
In AVPM, Snape is portrayed by Joe Moses, who, in my opinion, is not very attractive without the Snape costume on. His voice is normally high-pitched, but he has an excellent (and hilarious) Snape impression. His accent when he's being Snape is also a bit exaggerated, but it's still awesome.
Joe Moses also has a thing called The Potion's Master's Corner, which he does on his Youtube channel. He's interviewed the other Starkids, and has done it all in his Snape costume, and hilariously.
This is the best picture I could find of him, and this all from episodes of TPMS:

The AVPM version of Snape is also ridiculously out of character sometimes, but it is a parody. Because of him, we now associate several quotes with Snape that we wouldn't otherwise:
"What the DEVIL is going on HERRRRRREEEEEEEE?"
"Sit down, you inarticulate bumble."
"I'll be in the drawing room... painting the stupid looks on your faces."
-----------
I could go on, but I don't feel like it. Anyway, even though it's a musical, Snape hardly gets any time to sing. It's disappointing, really. He obviously participates in the group songs like the end reprise of Going Back To Hogwarts and Days of Summer in AVPS, but the only song he really gets is Guys Like Potter. And it's a rather sad song, as funny as they try to make it.
What's also sad is that AVPS did the Snape's Worst Memory scene more accurately than the film adaptation of OotP did. -_-
Well, I have nothing else to say, except that I'm going to bed.

Fanfiction Friday #36
So... who here likes Snarry? :D Well, if you don't, then you might not want to read this fic, because it's Snarry.
It's called At the End of All Things, and I wouldn't be surprised if you've heard of it. I started reading it because I follow FYeahSnarry on Tumblr (the link to which is here), and they posted an excerpt from it. Normally, I only read Snarry for the smut, which this fic does have, but it's the first one I've read with actual romance, and I like it.
It's also rather sad. In it, Harry had cancer, and... well, I'm not going to give much away, but you can guess the rest. It's AU, Snape's slightly OOC, and there's some grammar mistakes, but it's an overall wonderful fic. Even if you don't like Snarry, you might want to read it so you get into it.
Beware, it's rated M, so there is sexual explicit content in it. But that shouldn't be a problem with anyone. ;D And it's also completed, so you won't have to wait for updates.
Fawkes swoops in and drops the Sorting Hat... And out of it, you pull out this link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2013350/1/At_the_end_of_all_things

Snape Quote of the Week #35
"Perhaps you already know it? You are a clever man, after all, Severus. You have been a good and faithful servant, and I regret what must happen."
"My Lord--"
"The Elder Wand cannot serve me properly, Severus, because I am not its true master. The Elder Wand belongs to the wizard who killed its last owner. You killed Albus Dumbledore. While you live, Severus, the Elder Wand cannot be truly mine."
"My Lord!" Snape protested, raising his wand.
"It cannot be any other way," said Voldemort. "I must master the wand, Severus. Master the wand, and I master Potter at last."
And Voldemort swiped the air with the Elder Wand. It did nothing to Snape, who for a spit second seemed to think he had been reprieved: But then Voldemort's intention became clear. The snake's cage was rolling through the air, and before Snape could do anything more than yell, it had encased him, head and shoulders, and Voldemort spoke in Parseltongue.
"Kill."
~Deathly Hallows, Ch. 32 "The Elder Wand"
The beginning of this quote is always where I start crying whenever I read DH. It sets up so much suspense and just gives me a horrible, heavy feeling... And I can't possibly imagine how Snape's feeling at the moment. He knows he's about to be killed without having been able to tell Potter everything, and he realizes that he's failed Lily. At that moment, he must have thought that his whole life had been a waste...
Okay, I can't bring myself to say anything else about it. It's just too effing sad.

Snape Video of the Week #34
Snape Kills Justin Beiber
I can't believe I JUST found out about this yesterday. This is just effing awesome. Especially because the footage fits together so damn perfectly.
Weekly Snape-ly Event #35
I actually have Snape news this week! Purely Snape. Well, and Harry Potter in general, but...whatever.
Anyway, I very recently participated in a contest held by the person that runs the page of Snape in FormerMiM (an RPG on Facebook, in case you didn't know). We had to create something, which could have been through any art medium, that represented what Harry Potter means to us. It was a pretty general topic.
All the submissions can be seen on this blog: http://www.fancifulmight.blogspot.com/ And I suggest you check them out. I won't tell you which one's mine, but I didn't win.
The winner was supposed to get a plushie/doll of the HP character of their choice. Obviously I would have chosen Snape, but I didn't win. ...I already have plenty of Snape things, though.
